Search continues for missing toddler

Jul 8, 2018 | 10:48 AM

Emergency personnel resumed the search early Sunday morning for a two year old boy that went missing from his family late Friday afternoon along the Wapiti River near the Canfor bridge.

Yesterday, boats, ATV’s, and a helicopter were used to assist with ground search efforts to locate the toddler.

The search was called off at 11pm last night due to darkness, however members of the RCMP and Technical Search and Rescue crews did stay on scene overnight.

Mounties are again asking the general public to stay away from the area in order to give emergency services the opportunity to focus on the search.
