#SummerSafety messages from AB RCMP & Sheriffs

RCMP and Sheriffs across Alberta will focus on impaired driving throughout the month of July with their #SummerSafety messages on Facebook and Twitter.
According to numbers from Alberta Transportation, impairment by alcohol was a contributing factor in one out of every six collisions in Alberta in 2016.
Superintendent Rick Gardiner with Alberta Traffic Sheriffs says “the consequences of impaired driving can be devastating. We remind all road users that #SummerSafety is a shared responsibility.”
Adding, “we encourage Albertans to make the right #SummerSafety driving decisions and avoid behaviours that increase the risk of collisions.”
