BC Peace resident Tate Haugan has been crowned the 2018 junior cross triathlon world champion. He won the title Tuesday in Fyn, Denmark.
Haugan, the lone Canadian, competed against 21 other racers. He finished with a time of 1:07:32, almost a full second ahead of second place finisher Oscar Gladney Rundqvist of Denmark.
The 18-year-old Hogan is from Fort St. John.
