Drillers eye first win of the season at home

Jul 14, 2018 | 7:00 AM

The Grande Prairie Drillers return home this evening to battle the Central Alberta Buccaneers.

Head Coach John Park explained that tonight’s contest will be a tough matchup for his club.

” They are a very strong team. They are number two in the league. They have a lot of talented players. They like to pass the ball a lot so our defence will have to be sharp. “

When it comes to his own club, Park adds they have been working on a few different things to prepare for the game.

” We are trying to get ready for this really strong pass team. We are kind of going in a different direction on offence so it should be really good. “

The Drillers enter tonight’s game at 0-5, while the Buccaneers sit at 4-1.

Kick off for tonight’s game is at 6:00 p.m. from Legion Field.
