2018 Alberta Summer Games Day 2 recap

The 2018 Alberta Summer Games wrap up today in both the city and County of Grande Prairie.

Peace region athletes, which make up the Zone 8 team, have won 31 medals so far, including 9 gold.

On Saturday, Grande Prairie’s Jordan Greber won three more gold medals in swimming to up her total to four gold and a silver at these games.

Hannah Lundstrom claimed her second gold medal of the games on Saturday, this time in female under 17 cross country mountain biking.

Jacey Ask also won a gold medal in swimming, as did the Canoe Polo team.

For canoe polo team member Maddy Brazel, the gold was her third medal of the games, going along with a pair of silver medals won on Friday.

Zone 3, which is the Calgary region, leads the medal standings after two days with 124, including 53 gold.
