Record rainfall in Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie received just under 70-millimetres of rain over the last three days, setting three consecutive weather records.

Sunday a 46-year record was broken when 19-millimetres fell compared to 15-millimetres in 1972.

According to Environment Canada, 19-millimetres fell Friday breaking the 12.4-millimetre record set back in 1983.

And 30-millimetres of rain fell Saturday. That broke the 2012 record of 23.2-millimetres.

A total of 68-millimetres of rain fell Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
