Aug 13, 2018 | 2:13 PM

Searches of a vehicle in the city and a property in the County of Grande Prairie have led to drug and weapon charges against three people.

The RCMP’s Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Team, acting on some information, tracked a vehicle to a commercial location in Grande Prairie on August 6. A search of that vehicle turned up cocaine, GHB, methamphetamine, and a loaded .22 pistol.

A search of the rural property that followed came across four stolen quads, two stolen vehicles, chainsaws, tools, and other stolen property.

Sklor Don Claybrook, 28-years-old and from Grande Prairie is facing 33 charges; 24-year-old Kariston Lynn Finlayson of Valleyview is facing 15 counts, and 34-year-old Ashley Nicole McDonald of Clairmont is facing another dozen charges.

All three are facing counts that include possession of methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

All three are due in court August 22.

Claybrook and Finlayson have been remanded, McDonald is out on bail.

If anybody thinks these stolen items might be theirs, please call the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700.
