Two people charged after frightening chase near Kinuso

Two people are facing charges after a suspect vehicle tried to run RCMP cruisers off Highway 2 in the Kinuso area.
 
Faust RCMP say around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, they were checking vehicles that they thought may have been used during criminal activity.
 
One of the drivers did not stop and took off, at one point driving in the wrong lane on Highway 2. A police pursuit was called off.
 
Mounties say the suspects then stole another vehicle and tried to ram into police cars that had them cornered. They got stuck in a ditch and were arrested.
 
A man from Valleyview and a woman from Blackfalds, both 28-years-old, are facing charges, Their names were not released.
 
Police from Slave Lake, High Prairie, and Westlock, along with the Lakeshore Regional Police, were all called in to help.
