Two injured in three vehicle collision on Highway 43

UPDATE 2 (5:24 p.m.) Beaverlodge RCMP say the collision near Township Road 724A  this morning involved three vehicles. The person transported to the hospital from one of the vehicles was treated for their injuries. The third drive was not injured. 

The cause is still under investigation and no charges have been laid. RCMP are asking witnesses to come forward with any information they might have in regards to this incident.

UPDATE 1 (3:06 p.m.) Alberta 511 has posted that the collision is cleared. 

STARS Air Ambulance was called to a head-on collision early Friday morning. 

They were dispatched at approximately 7:03 a.m. to Highway 43 between Beaverlodge and Albright near Highway 671. 

STARS transported one female to the QEII Hospital in stable non-life threatening condition. 

Ground ambulance was also dispatched and took another patient to the hospital. STARS couldn’t comment on the condition of the second person. 

Traffic is being detoured around the area.
