Dissolution vote set in Grande Cache

Alberta Municipal Affairs Minister Shaye Anderson has ordered that a dissolution vote take place in Grande Cache later this month.
 
Electors will decide September 24 and 25 if they want the town to stay a separate municipality or become part of the MD of Greenview.
 
Advance voting will be held on September 19. Two information sessions are planned for 18th and one more on the 19th, ahead of that advance poll.
 
This process started two years ago over concerns about Grande Cache’s financial viability after some tough economic times.
 
A viability review compiled by both municipalities was submitted to the province last month.
