Two teens charged in Canfor Road Robbery and Assault

Two teens have been charged after two young men were assaulted and their vehicle stolen south of Grande Prairie September 29.

RCMP say the two teen boys were at kilometre 17.5 of the Canfor Road when a white Ford drove up to them.

According to police, two males got out of the truck and walked up to the teenagers with what appeared to be firearms.

The victims were threatened then physically assaulted before their vehicle was stolen.

The driver of a vehicle passing by stopped and picked up the teens and brought them to safety. They were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

 The accused, ages 14 and 16, were arrested late last week and are facing numerous charges including:

Robbery with a firearm
Assault with a weapon
Aggravated assault
Uttering threats
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Pointing a firearm
Careless use of a firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
Theft of motor vehicle
Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
Forcible confinement
Fail to comply with conditions
