Peace Country farmers recently helped Grande Prairie RCMP track down a suspect accused of stealing a vehicle.

Mounties had located a truck stolen in BC in a ditch on Highway 670 near Range Roads 40 and 41 on September 30th. The suspect fled on foot once he spotted police.

One farmer then helped police navigate through fields on his side-by-side. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Nineteen-year-old Bradley Almas of Edmonton had outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest and is also facing four more charges including, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief, resisting a police officer and failing to comply.
