Storm Continue Winning Ways

Oct 21, 2018 | 8:52 AM

The beat goes on for the Grande Prairie Storm.

Jared Power scored twice as the Storm extended their regulation time unbeaten streak to nine with a 5-1 win over the Drumheller Dragons.

Jackson Wozniak, Nolan Spadafore and Nathaniel Bierd also scored for the Storm, while Vincent Milot-Ouellet chipped in with three assists.

The Storm limited the Dragons to just 20 shots on the night, an impressive total against a team that has averaged close to five goals scored per game this season.

Brady Risk was the only Dragon player to beat Kaeden Freer-Lane on the night, scoring on a second period power play.

The win improved the Storm’s record to 9-4-2, and pulled them to within two points of both Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove for second place in the AJHL’s North division.

Meanwhile, the loss snapped a seven game winning streak for the Dragons.

The Storm have a busy week coming up, as they hit the road for games in Lloydminster on Tuesday and Bonnyville on Wednesaday.

They then return home to face Sherwood Park this Saturday and Sunday at Revolution Place.
