Sexsmith residents head to the polls in December

Residents of Sexsmith will head to the polls in December for a by-election.

That town’s mayor, Claude Lagace passed away September 29th.

So far two town councillors, Kate Potter and Ian Penner, have announced their intentions of running so that opens up two more positions on town council.

Jaqueline Jensen, the current president of the Sexsmith Chamber of Commerce, has also announced that she is running for the mayoral position.

Election day will be December 17th with advanced voting December 14th.
