Peace rink flying Alberta’s colours at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship

UPDATE: (12:44 p.m.) Alberta won its opener 4-3 over BC.

 

The Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg is hosting the 2019 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship this week.

Games got underway last night.
 
Kurt Balderston’s rink from the Grande Prairie Curling Club is representing Alberta.
 
They will face BC this morning in their first game before taking on Prince Edward Island this evening.
 
Balderston won his sixth Alberta mixed curling championship as a skip back in April in Beaumont.
 
The other members of the team are third Janais DeJong, second Les Sonnenberg, and lead Adrienne Winfield.
