One dead after head-on collision near Slave Lake

One person is dead after a head-on crash Friday evening between a pickup and a semi near Slave Lake.

According to RCMP, the collision happened on Highway 88, about 40 kilometres north of the community.

Police say there were reports of slush on the road and light snowfall at the time of the crash.

A female passenger in the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries.
