Graham Construction awarded in Saskatchewan

Nov 8, 2018 | 9:48 AM

The construction company that was fired by the Alberta government for its handling of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital project has been awarded in Saskatchewan.

Graham Construction’s Regina Bypass Project team has been selected to receive the 2018 Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Public Service for “outstanding on-the-job contributions to the government and citizens of the province.”

The Grande Prairie project has been suspended since the summer when the Alberta government fired the company. At the time Graham Construction said that they left on their own terms.

A replacement company to take over the project has not been named yet but according to a government spokesperson, one has been chosen.
