Thieves smash hole in Valleyview bank

Nov 14, 2018 | 4:50 PM

Valleyview RCMP are looking for whoever smashed a hole in the Scotiabank branch in that community.

Police say that around 3:30 a.m. November 9, the suspects used a stolen front-end loader to make a hole in the bank’s wall. The machine had been taken from a business located on 39 Avenue.

Mounties did not say what, if anything, was taken from the bank.

The thieves also used a grey four-door Chevrolet or GMC truck during the crime.

RCMP are looking for surveillance footage from any home systems, dashboard cameras, or anything of that sort that may have been taken along 39 Avenue, Range Road 222, Highway 49, Township Road 704, and 50 Street between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. last Friday.

Anyone who has such footage, or any other information on this can contact the Valleyview RCMP at (780)524-3345, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com
