Storm pull back into fourth after win over Northern rival

Nov 18, 2018 | 9:23 AM

With many of their parents in attendance as part of the club’s annual Parents Weekend festivities, the Grande Prairie Storm put forth a solid effort in a 4-1 win over Fort McMurray.

Jackson Wozniak converted a goal mouth pass to open the scoring in the first period, while Nathan Morgan would add to the lead with a second period goal during a five minute power play.

Nolen Coventry got the Oil Barons within one about eight minutes into the third, and had chances to even the score if not for some excellent saves from Storm netminder Kaeden Lane.

Bryce Osepchuk and Zach Webb would seal the win with goals in the final two minutes of the third period.
