Vipers losing streak hits double digits

Make it 10 straight losses for the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers after a 6-1 loss to Fairview on Friday night. 

After a scorelesds opening period, the Flyers opened up a 3-0 lead after 40 minuteds thanks to a pair of power play goals from Liam Yasinski and a single from Darian Fuller. 

Sexsmith got on the board early in the third on a goal from Kaleb Kelly. 

But markers from Bailey Tokarz, Tristyn Corliss and Cale Fox wrapped up the win.  The Vipers will try to snap the winless drought tonight when they visit the County JDA Kings.

Matts Maisonneuve recorded a hat trick to power the Falher Pirates to a 7-2 win over the Manning Comets in NPHL action on Friday. 

Pat Rowan and Dallas Brochu both scored twice for the Pirates while Taylor Paulovich and Michael Vreeling replied for the Comets.  

There are three games in the league tonight, including the Grande Prairie A’s hosting Grimshaw, Manning is in Fort St John and Dawson Creek hosts High Prairie.
