Man facing charges after trying to steal snow plow near Valleyview

A man is facing charges after an incident Tuesday west of Valleyview.
 
RCMP responded to a robbery in progress around 1:30 in the morning.
 
Police say when they located the victim, he told police he stopped his snowplow to help some motorists in a truck that hit the ditch. One of the motorists assaulted the driver and tried to steal his machine.
 
Police say the plow wasn’t stolen or damaged.

Twenty-six-year-old Jake Goodswimmer of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is now facing charges that include:

  •         Robbery
  •         Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  •         Uttering Threats
  •         Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
  •         Driving While Disqualified
