A Calgary man who stabbed his neighbour 37 times has lost his bid to have his manslaughter conviction overturned.
The Supreme Court has ruled it will not hear appeal arguments from Nicholas Rasberry, who was given seven years in prison for the 2013 death of school teacher Craig Kelloway.
The Alberta Court of Appeal had earlier rejected Rasberry’s bid to overturn both his conviction and sentence.
Rasberry admitted at his trial that he stabbed Kelloway, but argued that the former Glace Bay, Nova Scotia resident had threatened to sexually assault him and his wife.
