Police presence in Cobblestone area

Early this morning, Everything GP received a number of messages from the public concerning a heavy police presence in the Cobblestone area.
Corporal Maria Ogden with the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment says there was no concern for public safety.
“On January 17, 2019, there was a heavy police presence in the Cobblestone area and police have since cleared the area. There is no concern for public safety at this time. Police were investigating a stolen vehicle.”
Neighbours report of seeing at least four cruisers “driving slow”, for up to an hour.
