Grant Berg named Alberta Party’s candidate for Grande Prairie riding

Jan 18, 2019 | 6:04 AM

Grant Berg has been named the Alberta Party candidate for the Grande Prairie constituency.

When the local businessman first announced he was seeking nomination back in October, Berg told Everything GP he wants his government to be responsible and accountable.

Berg has a background in broadcasting, and with that experience, he believes he can be the voice Grande Prairie needs when it comes to sharing our story.

“I believe it is an MLA’s job to take concerns and the story of the Grande Prairie area back down to Edmonton and to the rest of the province really. I think there is a silent majority in the city that need a voice and I want to be the voice.”

He also said he would put a big focus on jobs if elected.

“Jobs, jobs, jobs, small business and healthcare, particularly when it comes to the (Grande Prairie Regional) Hospital and mental health,” Berg said.

Earlier this week, The Alberta Party announced that Jason Jones will carry the Alberta Party banner for Grande Prairie-Wapiti in the next provincial election.
