National accolades for Eastlink Centre

Chatelaine says the Eastlink Centre has one of the top dozen indoor pools in all of Canada.
 
The story on the magazine’s web site lists all the features in the aquatics area, adding people who use it think the staff is friendly and kind.
 
Aquatics Manager Meghan Monette says the recognition is a big deal for the Eastlink Centre.
 
“When we were notified of this information, we were so proud of everything that each individual in this facility was able to contribute to bring us to this accomplishment. It really means a lot, too, that our members and our users and guests nominated us for this award.” 
 
She adds versatility makes the Centre a top-notch place.
 
“It’s such a gem because of the many multi-uses that are available inside this facility. We are able to set up the pool for various sports and activities depending on the needs, which allows it more versatility for our clients.” 
 
The Eastlink Centre is on a list with pools from Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary. Fort McMurray also cracked the top 12.
