No injuries in Saturday night fire in Grande Prairie

Jan 20, 2019 | 3:14 PM

The Grande Prairie Fire Department says no one was injured in what it describes as a multi-residential structure fire in Grande Prairie Saturday night.

It did not say which building was involved, but social media posts said it happened at Willow Place.

The damage was contained to the unit where the fire started. A release from firefighters says a working sprinkler kept the blaze under control. The cause is under investigation.

The Fire department says residents were evacuated. A transit bus provided shelter until they could go back inside.
