Okabe on NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings

NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings for the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver have been released and in total there are five players from the AJHL on the list.

This is includes Grande Prairie Storm forward Zachary Okabe.

Okabe is having another solid year with the Storm, as he currently has 22 goals and 20 assists through 45 games.

He is currently leading the team in scoring.

Other players from the Alberta Junior Hockey League named to the midterm rankings include Quinn Olson from the Okotoks Oilers, Luke Bast of the Brooks Bandits, Carter Gylander from the Sherwood Park Crusaders, and Matthew Davis of the Spruce Grove Saints.

Okabe will have a chance to show off his talent on Tuesday when he takes part in the CJHL Top Prospects game in Okotoks.
