Two Alberta MLAs stepping down

Two more members of the Alberta N-D-P caucus have announced they will not be seeking re-election.

Calgary-North West M-L-A and cabinet minister Sandra Jansen says stepping down was a tough decision to make, but adds it’s the right one for her and her family.

Strathcona-Sherwood Park member Estefania Cortes-Vargas says she will be stepping down to pursue professional development opportunities.

The next provincial election is expected this spring.
