Jan 22, 2019 | 5:56 AM

A day after being named to NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings, Storm forward Zachary Okabe will have a chance to raise his stock ahead of the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver.

Okabe will be taking part in the annual CJHL Top Prospects game which is taking place in Okotoks.

Okotoks also happens to be Okabe’s hometown.

The Storm forward has had a strong season thus far, finding the back of the net 22 times and adding 20 helpers.

This will be Okabe’s first chance to impress scouts against the best of the best, as the the Storm’s leading scorer was ineligible to try-out for Team Canada West for the World Junior A Challenge which took place at the beginning of December in Bonnyville.

Okabe is one of 5 players from the Alberta Junior Hockey League playing in Tuesday’s CJHL Top Prospects game.

Also taking part is Dylan Holloway and Carter Gylander from the Sherwood Park Crusaders, Luke Bast of the Brooks Bandits, and Matthew Davis from the Spruce Grove Saints.

Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
