Truck-pedestrian collision sends Fort St. John youth to Vancouver hospital

A Fort St. John youth had to be taken to a Vancouver hospital for treatment after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday.
 
RCMP say they got a call around 7:45 a.m. that a  pedestrian was hit by a pickup while crossing 86 Street.
 
The young person was first taken to a Fort St. John hospital before going on to Vancouver.
 
Injuries are described as serious but non-life threatening.
 
Mounties say the driver stayed at the scene and was co-operative.
 
The investigation continues.
