Pirates, A’s and Comets win in Saturday NPHL playoff action

The home team continued to dominate the West Division Semi-Final on Saturday, as the Grande Prairie Athletics knocked off the Fort St. John Flyers 4-1 in game three.

The A’s took a 2-1 series lead, with the home team winning all three games in the series. Morgan Maclean, Mark Stojan, Brock Clement and Lyndin Lewis all scored for the Athletics.

In the East, the Falher Pirates took a 3-0 strangle hold over the High Prairie Regals with a 7-4 victory. Dallas Brochu and Darren Kramer each had a pair of goals in the win.

In the other East Semi-Final, The Manning Comets stole game three on the road from the Grimshaw Huskies with a 5-2 win. The Comets now lead that series 2-1. Michael Gillen had two goals for Manning in the victory.
