Up and Down weekend for GPRC teams

It was the second last weekend of the 2018-2019 regular season for the GPRC Volleyball and Basketball teams as they battled the NAIT Ooks.

The home crowd in Grande Prairie was treated to some thrilling volleyball as all 4 games between the Wolves and Ooks were tight and came down to the wire.

The women’s team claimed the first contest Friday night in 5 sets, winning 26:14, 25:19, 25:23, 27:25, 15:13.

However, the very next day, NAIT would get some revenge winning the re-match in 5 sets.

The Men’s contests were very similar.

The GPRC Wolves earned a four-set victory Friday night, but then fell in the re-match in 5 sets Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Basketball teams were out on the road in Edmonton to face the Ooks.

The women’s team didn’t have much luck this weekend as they fell 78-61 Saturday and 69-50 Sunday.

The men meanwhile played two exciting contests which needed overtime.

Friday, they earned a 79-78 win, and the followed it up with an 85-67 victory Saturday.

The Wolves volleyball and basketball teams will conclude their 2018-2019 regular season this weekend against TKU.
