Man found guilty of murder after second trial

Feb 11, 2019 | 8:25 AM

CALGARY – A Calgary man whose second-degree murder conviction for killing a bartender was overturned by the Alberta Court of Appeal has been found guilty of the same charge at a second trial.

A jury returned the verdict Sunday in the case of Kyle Ledesma, with the Crown seeking at least 10 years in prison before he’s eligible for parole.

Ledesma was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 2015 for the death of Dexter Bain.

The bartender was shot to death during an attempted robbery at a pub in November 2010.
