Extreme cold warning ended for Grande Prairie and Peace Country

Feb 12, 2019 | 9:58 AM

After over 10 days under an extreme cold warning, Environment Canada has lifted the warning for Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview and surrounding areas.

Areas around Peace River and High Level have also had the extreme cold warning lifted.

Temperatures in Grande Prairie have increased above minus 30 Celsius during the day time, but wind chills could still bring temperatures down below that mark during the overnight periods over the next couple nights.

Temperatures are expected to improve throughout the rest of the week.
