Charges stayed in animal cruelty case west of Edmonton

Feb 13, 2019 | 7:33 AM

Dozens of charges against a man involved in a horse cruelty case west of Edmonton have been stayed due to a lack of reasonable likelihood of conviction.

In December, R-C-M-P and the Alberta S-P-C-A received complaints of animal neglect at two properties near Evansburg.

Two men, Ross Atkinson and Robert Cornell, were charged along with Patricia Moore.

Now the charges against Atkinson have been stayed.

Moore and Cornell still face charges and are to appear in court on March 11th.
