Kings clinch third in NWJHL

Even though two games renain to be played in the NWJHL season, the final standings are now set.

The County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings clinched third place in the league with a 4-0 win in Peace River over the North Peace Navigators. 

Wyatt Lawrence, Corbin Doram, Jaiden LaPorte, and Louka Richard scored for the Kings, while Will McCreight made 32 saves for the shut out. 

The Kings will wrap up their season on Sunday in Fort St John against the Huskies. 

Speaking of the Huskies, they clinched first place in the league with a 10-4 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers. 

Gary Loewen and Dean Whitcomb scored twice for the Huskies, who will face Fairview tonight before hosting the Kings to wrap up the regular season.
