City hosting several Family Day Events this weekend

Families are not without options for Family Day activities, as the City of Grande Prairie is hosting plenty of different events over the next two days.

Sunday, February 17

Activities revolve around the Eastlink Centre on Sunday, with a free family swim from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. Families can also access the fieldhouse free of charge from noon to 4 P.M. with a free BBQ provided.

Free public skating will be available from 2:30 to 4:15 P.M. at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Monday, February 18

On Family Day Monday, activities shift over to Revolution Place. The Bowes Event Centre will have events such as a bouncy castle, face painting and activity tables. That will run from 1 to 5 P.M.

The Grande Prairie Storm will also be hosting a skate with the team, following their matinee tilt with the Drayton Valley Thunder. The skate will start at approximately 5 p.m.

The Ernie Radbourne Pavilion at Muskoseepi Park hosts the Winterlude Family Fun Day. Skating on the pond, sleigh rides, snow painting, snowshoeing and even a hula hoop workshop are among the plethora of events available free of charge from noon to 4 P.M.
