Extreme Cold Warning in place…again

The Extreme Cold Warning just doesn’t seem to want to leave us for good.

Environment Canada has again issued an alert for the region.

The cold weather warnings have been coming and going for most of February.

Very cold wind chills between minus 40 and minus 45 are expected tonight into Friday morning. Wind chills will moderate Friday afternoon as it warms up.

These extreme cold conditions will spread throughout more of Alberta by Saturday morning.

The alert is in effect for:

Co. of Grande Prairie near Beaverlodge Hythe and Demmitt
Co. of Grande Prairie near Grande Prairie and Wembley
Co. of Grande Prairie near Sexsmith and La Glace
M.D. of Greenview near DeBolt
M.D. of Greenview near Little Smoky
M.D. of Greenview near O’Brien Prov. Park and Big Mtn Creek
M.D. of Greenview near Sturgeon Lake
M.D. of Greenview near Valleyview and New Fish Creek
M.D. of Greenview near Wapiti and Shuttler Flats Rec. Area
