Early morning vehicle fire in Peace River

The Peace Regional RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance after an early morning vehicle fire in Peace River.

On Monday, Sept. 22, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Mounties responded to the report of a vehicle on fire in the area of 102 Street in the community.

Members of the detachment worked fast to evacuate the homeowners as sparks from the car were setting a nearby dumpster on fire. The Peace River Fire Department came to extinguish the flames.

If you believe you may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between 2:30 a.m. and when first responders arrived on scene, or have any footage, either dash cam or home security, contact the Peace Regional RCMP by calling 780-624-6611.
