Traffic delays on Highway 40 anticipated with construction starting Sunday

A small section of highway 40 will be down to one lane starting Sunday for engineering work.
The southbound passing lane, about 10 kilometres south of Grande Prairie will be closed.
Ryan Konowalyk, with Alberta Transportation says the engineering work is being done to get ready for the planned twinning of Highway 40 from the city to just south of the Norbord Plant.
Work will be limited to the hours of 9:30 a.m. to dusk, in an attempt to be less of an inconvenience during the morning ‘rush’ south.
