More charges laid in Peace River murder case

More charges have been laid after a 20-year-old man was found dead in a burned-out trailer in the Peace River area last May.
 
RCMP Major Crimes North says Lawrence Robert Butt was murdered. His body was found May 17, 2017, at a spot along Reno Road East, about 40 kilometres southeast of Peace River.
 
Twenty-year-old Paige Eileen Burkenshaw of Grande Prairie is facing charges that include Manslaughter with a Firearm and Robbery with a Firearm.
 
Kyle Dudbroy-Clement, 24 and from Peace River, has been charged with Manslaughter with a Firearm, Robbery with a Firearm, and Break and Enter.
 
Both will stay in custody until court appearances Monday in Peace River.
 
Dudbroy-Clement had already been facing charges of Accessory after the Fact to Murder and Indignity to a Body. A preliminary hearing is set for September.
 
Blake Murphy of Grande Prairie has been charged with Murder. A preliminary hearing in his case is set for next month.
 
Two other people charged have already had their cases resolved.
 
Bonnie Lynn Castleton of Peace River pleaded guilty to Accessory to Murder last August after originally being charged with Indignity to a Body. She was given 90-days jail time, minus 89 days credit for time already spent in custody.
 
Lucas Lloyd Lundstrom also of Peace River pleaded guilty to an Accessory to Murder charge in December. He was given one day in jail. A charge Indignity to a Body was withdrawn.
