Survey available for Skatepark expansion input

Nov 4, 2017 | 7:54 AM

Monday is the last day to have your voice heard for the Muskoseepi Skatepark expansion.

Manager of Recreation and Sport in Grande Prairie Kylee Haining says a survey is live online following the community consultation on October 24th.

“We kind of had an inclement night the night of our consultation and we didn’t get as many people out as we thought we might get. We are giving one more chance to determine which direction the park will go. There are two different styles or configurations.”

She says the survey is simple and answering it will help plan out the construction of the park set to start in the spring.

“It has got the two diagrams and it asks you which one you like better. It gives you some space for like maybe you like “A” the best, but there is something in “B” you wish was in “A”. There is space to say that you like this one best, but you’d like it to have this other feature.”

The expansion is budgeted at around $475,000.

The survey and more information about the two choices are available on the city’s website.
