Stompede generates $6.6 million in regional revenue
The 2017 iteration of the Grande Prairie Stompede generated $6.6 million in spin-off cash for the region.
New president Trevor Denis outlined the ways the May event created economic stability.
“The figures (show) spending is combined with out-of-town athletes, family members, spectators, other visitors to the region, and in combination with Grande Prairie spending as well,” he said.
He calls the summer event “huge” for the area.
