Man gets nearly 3 years for ALERT bust
A man facing 25 charges after a May 2016 ALERT bust near Fairview has been given a jail term of close to two-years and eight months.
Police seized nine firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, explosives, stolen property, a small amount of drugs and cash.
Robert Cletus Traverse pleaded guilty to eight charges, including possession of a substance, possession of a prohibited weapon, three counts of possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
The total sentence handed down in Peace River court on November 10 was for 1,260 days. He has been given credit for 839 days time served, leaving 421 days remaining on his sentence.
