Local employment program receives provincial award

A program that helps individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain employment has been recognized on the provincial level. 
 
The Premier’s Council Award of Excellence in Employment has been presented to Goodwill’s Power of Work Grande Prairie program. 
 
In it’s 16th year of existence, the career development initiative offers skills building, employment preparation, and job coaching.
 
The award is presented annually by the Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities, to individuals or groups that make significant contributions to a barrier-free, inclusive work environment.
