Oliver’s Funeral Home hosting support service for those grieving at Christmas

Dec 9, 2017 | 6:00 AM

Oliver’s Funeral Home is hosting a special gathering tomorrow where people who are grieving this Christmas season can get comfort from others who are going through the same.

Approximately 150 people are expected for the Christmas Candlelight Service.

“We have a powerpoint where we put up their picture, and as their picture comes up we light a candle in their memory,” explained Liesa Peters, Community Relations for Oliver’s Funeral Home. “We bring in the Boy’s Choir, they perform a couple of songs for us.  Everyone in that room is there for one purpose and that is to remember their loved one and to be a support to each other, as it is probably a very difficult time of the year for them.”

It’s being held Sunday December 10 at 6 p.m. You’re asked to register online or by phone at 780.532.2929.
