Storm drop first game of southern swing

Dec 16, 2017 | 5:45 AM

It wasn’t the way the Grande Prairie Storm wanted to start their lengthy three-game road trip Friday night as they dropped a 6-1 decision to the Canmore Eagles.

The Eagles would score one in the first, two in the second, and three in the third to walk away with the lopsided victory.

Connor Blake scored the lone goal for the Storm. The marker was his fourteenth of the season.

The good news for the Storm is that they won’t have to wait long to return to the ice.

They will look to bounce back Saturday night when they head to Drumheller to battle the Dragons.

This will be the second and final meeting of the season between the two clubs, with Grande Prairie claiming the first meeting back in October, 3-1.

Face-off for Saturday night’s game is at 7:30 p.m.
