Homicide near Fort Vermillion

An autopsy will be done today on the body of a 22-year-old man who RCMP say was killed on Friday, December 15th near Fort Vermillion.
22-year-old Jordan Laboucan was found with what officers describe as
“injuries consistent with those of blunt force trauma.” He was transferred to the University of Alberta hospital where he died as a result of injuries sustained.
Members of the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit (MCU) and the RCMP’s Forensic Identification Services (FIS) investigated the scene at South Tallcree First Nation.
30-year-old Harley Auger was arrested Friday and later charged with second-degree murder.
