RCMP eye impaired driving this New Years

As residents of Grande Praire and the peace region get ready to ring in the new year, the RCMP have some friendly reminders.

”  The RCMP will be conducting check stops throughout the City and the County this evening. We will be focusing on impaired driving, ” explained Corporal Shawn Graham with the Grande Prairie RCMP.

It is expected to be a busy evening throughout the region, and with this in mind, residents are encouraged to plan ahead and arrange a safe ride home if they do plan on celebrating.

” Our main goal is to just to keep the roads safe for everyone. So we encourage everyone to be thoughtful and courteous and follow the rules of the road while driving so everyone gets home safe and sound, ” added Graham.
