Financial assistance for residents impacted by August 2016 flooding

Disaster Recovery Program funding is now available if your home, business or property was impacted by the August 2016 flooding.

The provincial government is providing eligible Grande Prairie residents financial assistance that had overland flooding or ground water seepage during the August 2 storm that flooded much of the city.

There will be an opportunity for residents to speak with a case manager and apply in person at the Municipal Offices at 10205-98 Street January 11th and 12th from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and the 13th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

You are asked to bring the following:

– Government issued photo ID
– Insurance letter
– Utility bills 90 days prior to the event
– If you own the property, the property tax assessment for 2016
– If you are a tenant, the lease agreement covering the event date
